Hi guys.

Now we are thinking about selling mini games (Arkaball II, Xonix II, Bubbles) as stand alone applications.
With great discount system wich allows such things for example:

- if you buy one mini-game then you will have great discount for two other, or good discount to AirIslands

- if you buy two mini-games, you will have super discount for 3d mini-game and great discount for AirIslands

- if you buy three mini-games then you will have super discount for AirIslands (something like AirIslands only for $1.99)

Please imagine that you are not yet a owner of AirIslands, and say - is this program is intresting for you as potential customer?

Please note that it's absolutely clear for you that the mini-game is the part of AirIslands before you buy it/while you try it for free.

Please check the poll above.

Thanks for your help.

If I didn't already own AirIslands I would be interested in purchasing Arkaball II as a stand alone app.

While offering a discount on AirIslands for purchasing 1, 2 or all of the mini games separately seems like it could be a good idea, I've got a couple of questions.

1) These stand alone versions would run outside of AirIslands, correct?

2) If a customer buys one of the mini games and then decides they want to purchase AirIslands, I would try to make sure you don't make the deal so good that you lose money on it. Maybe like 25% off AirIslands or something like that if you decide to purchase it after you purchase one of the stand alone games.

Arkaball is fun and possible one of my fave Arkanoid game ever. I believe Arkaball and Bubbles are the ones that may become popular, even as standalone games.

But that means there will be more competitors for the high scores and I will be out of top 10 very soon. Haha...

It's a good idea to make the mini-games available as standalones.

i do not disagree with the concept of selling them separately, although it will not benefit us here...

btw, am i cortrect to say that only registered players (ie. for those who have already purchased the game) can "reply" in this forum? If so, the ones who can vote will already have all the games and the "potential customers" may not be able to voice out?

I agree with Anthony. It wouldn't be interesting to me, but I think it's a good idea.
I think, you should price it so that about the same sum results if you decide to upgrade to SPB AI. E.g. $5-$7 for each mini game and the difference to $19.95 (or what's the current price) for the upgrade. I don't think the price for the mini games should be much higher, otherwise the full package would become cheaper too soon. (Why pay two mini games if I get the whole package for about the same money?)

I have to admit I play the mini games a lot more than SPB AirIslands at the moment.

Mind you I have also been spending a lot of time playing freecell as well smile

I tend to get 5 minutes here or there and the mini games are a lot of fun to play in those 5 minutes...

These are my thoughts.
You have a pocket pc, there are 2 possibilitys: you are a professional user or you are a freetime-user. If you are a proffesional user, you can play a game from time to time but you go for the freeware stuff. The freetime-user is a gamer and would normally go for the mini-games. But trying the Island-game will get him hooked and he will certainly go for the whole package. I mean: if the mini-games existed BEFORE the Island-game was released it would be a good option to buy them with discount option for future release. Bust as the Island game IS released I think nobody would give an Euro for a mini-game without buying SpbIslands. I wouldn't.

Maybe a new mini fourth game would be good.  Or new skins for the current mini games.

TETRIS - that's gotta be an easy enough game to program for SPB.  There's already a javascript version.  If it can be done in javascript it can surely be done even better in C# by SPB.
