Thanks for Guy's tips and i managed to finish an Island in 10 days!!

Anthony, you would have managed without my tips anyway. You are really good. I want you also in my team. That is, if they make a game where Island builders can make teams to build up something together - see my earlier update proposels -.

Guy, thanks for the invitation and it will be my honour to team up with you and Cheryl.  yes, i have read all the previous posts about the update proposals.

Btw, guys (not only Guy but all you guys wink ),

what do you think about some kind of wars between islands?
We thought a lot about that but we will be very glad to hear your opinion, ideas, suggestions,...

Vassili

I think that has potential. But how would that work? Would we be at war with another human player or against and AI island? I'm very curious about what you all have been thinking about this.

No no, make peace not war. We will not go at war against anyone. War is for other games (and in the real world). We will in fact build a planet with a team. Every team member will have his part to build - like we did here on an Island - and there will be a part to build together. In each members part there is a connection to build - call it a gravitator - which is needed to connect to another members part. Once the personal parts are connected the connected members can build together on a commun part.

I'm not a softwaremaker - just a bicycle repairer - but I think indeed there is potential in this.

What do other think about that. What do softwaredeveloppers think about that.

Table "Days to win" changed to "Best days to win". Now only the best you results show in this table.
Total number of completed Islands you can see in High scores "Games won" table.

This still needs to be updated on the main page. Guy is listed twice.. Gosh darn it! I just completed my island in 10 days and I want to be on the board too tongue

Jezus, Cheryl. You did it! Crazy. What's next?

What a team we would make. Those people should create a game just to keep us playing.

Congratulations!

Thanks Guy!  And it wasn't that long ago I thought it was impossible. I'm shooting for 9 days but I don't know if it is possible. Now I have to decide if I want to work on the contest or my time.

As for them making a game just to keep us playing.. I think that's part of the reason for the contests .. to keep things interesting/challenging. I can't wait to see what additions to the game will appear in the update.

I hate to say it, but I am a fairly competitive person. I enjoy a challenge. I'm pretty sure that without the forum and all you folks that I probably would not be enjoying AirIslands as much I do. I would still call it a great game, but the extra element of competition between players adds something extra to the game big_smile

Yes Cheryl, it is possible. I did it. Couldn't upload at the time because of file mismatch. Please believe me. After the contest I shall do it again. I mean I shall TRY to do it again.

I must confess I get a little bored about this game. I guess I'm looking out for an update.

I saw you made 9 days. Awesome smile I really want to do that but now I am working on the 2nd contest. How many days did it take you to earn 56,000?

On day 10 I had 56.000.

I think 100.000 is possible. Must repair at-the-fly then. (open repair-all window and repair as soon as there are numers appearing) Must play mini-games like hell to get the resources for repairing. Forget about normal live.

You are the island king! I have been playing the same island for over 40 days and have only managed a daily high of about 45,000. I'm trying to decide if I keep working on this island or if I should tear everything down and begin again. I have over 340,000 gold pieces total but my resources are starting to get low. Decisions, decisions....

Cheryl, Cheryl, Cheryl... now you desappoint me. You could play for 500 days that same Island, it won't bring you more income. It's not the number of days you play which is important, it is how the Island is made.

First work on those disappearing LIP (other thread). Then you can go on.

I'm constantly changing my island and trying different things to raise my daily income. I haven't figured out the mystery of the disappearing LIP.

Cheryl, do you see where the LIP go? Don't they run over the edge of your screen? Watch closely. It's difficult to see when it is dark, but it is important you know they do that. Then I shall give you a clue.

Cheryl and Vicott are the only ones who appear in the five top-ten tables on the High Score page.

Cool.

Indeed, practice helps. Just the Bubbles thing stays a problem. Can't figure out how to get above 2.000 score before the "YOU WIN" screen appears.

Anyone can help?

Maybe in the next update one can fill up the balloons with something else than water. Whisky would work better for me...

It's pretty simple actually. I could almost get up to 2900 points every time i go through all the 10 levels. Simple prolong each level and do not clear the screen too early. Clear the screen only when you are left with one row of space. Oops...there will be lots of new names up in the Top 10 after I post this.

Is that in puzzle or normal mode, Vicott? And you play it easy, normal or hard?

Thanks.

Easy and Puzzle mode will work best. Anything harder will be trickier and tougher to prolong each level.
