Where do they go? How do you get them back? Better yet, how do you make them stay? It seems my population is always changing. How about yours?  Any ideas?

I also have this problem with missing LIPs. My population fluctuated from 17 to 18 then to 16 and to 15 for my recent island even though no buildings were demolished. Could it be something to do with pollution level? Or destruction of trees? roll

Surprisingly, the population also increased by 2 even when there are no new buildings. I noticed this happened right after my economy increased substantially. roll

People make hara-kiri if there is no place for them to sleep(live)! Thay do it not in exact time when you destroy house but wen they decide that you not even try to give them a house (or other building with capacity>0 )!

My LIP went for a walk in the open and ran over the edge of the screen. Once I build trees along the edge - yoy have to build trees anyway to lower pollution - they no longer dessapeared. Of course you need enough buildings for your LIP to live.

That's the clue of the Mercator hint I gave you earlier.

Oops. That's exactly what happened on 2 of my islands on Day 0. sad

Interestingly, my current island is in day 14 and has a population of 14 but only buildings with 13 capacity. Luckily the extra guy decided to stay. lol

yes, but you have to be careful, he may go anytime if he finds out that there is no where for him to stay!

Heh...I managed to maintain a population of 16 but have only 9 sheds for them to stay in.

I think the population is more vulnerable to decrease between 12am to 4am, so I always watch very closely to the summary screen to monitor the changes during this period. Between 3am to 6am, new workers may also join your island if the economy is very good.

So what's the highest economy rating u guys have? I think I have gone mad with a 169 economy rating. I am still hoping to aim higher though. big_smile

What I noticed is that the LIP dessapear most of the time after destroying buildings or trees. If you are shure that you didn't destroy a building with a LIP inside, and you are also shure you have enough buildings to make your LIP stay (3 in a house, 1 in a shed, 1 in a mill, etc...) and you notice anyway the number of LIP decreased, do the following: exit the game and restart. Miracle...your LIP are back!

(it works for me)

Do the same if you see a LIP walk away in the open... after restarting he is walking back! Nice!

I was replacing buildings with upgrades and made the mistake of deleting my last house.  My population went from 15 to 0.  I replaced the house, then had a population of 1.  I was very sad, so I turned the game off and went to bed.  I turned it on again the next day and was pleasantly surprised to see my population up again big_smile.

One suggestion I have for the next update is to have details about the LIPs themselves  when we tap on them such as name (with the ability to rename), age (amount of time living on island), gender, spouse, children, place of residence/work, personal happiness level, amounts earned, thoughts (both random and relative to the game and conditions of the island), etc.  I think this will make the game much more personable and enjoyable. wink

I agree 100% with that suggestion. I would also like the ability to tap on a building and find out if anyone is currently inside or not.
